At least it floats. How much ice would they need to float the freezer. What if it hit an iceberg? While that picture looked good 90% of the ice would have been underwater.Maybe they thought that was a good idea before commercial air travel made the U S and Europe so close. I would have liked to hear the story if they actually tried it. I suppose it's easy to laugh at the thinking in the '30's if we forget that a lot of what we learned today, we had to learn the hard way. Often more than once. |
