'Bout time. May they win big. May this become too unprofitable to ever do again. Perhaps that's the only language Bushites know.

The victims of Abu Ghraib were men. Had they been women the charge against the American contractors and military personnel would rightfully be rape.. And that, plus torture, is exactly what the charges should be. Also, the atrocities committed against the men at Abu Ghraib were uniquely American. They were indicative of a sick sense of humor peculiar to American culture.

I agree with both masbury & kauaiguy. Do they think about what they have done? (the ones in the photo's)

These men (and women) in uniform were only the instruments. Even if their superiors had not known of these action, the superiors are still responsible. The other day when a demonstration in France used live ammo instead of dummies, the army chief resigned, Straight off. The knuckle heads who implemented this policy need treatment now and not punishment.

We know that in Abu Ghraib that the orders came from on top. Proving that in court might take forever.

Its one thing to commit a crime--its another to take photos of the crime. Stupid!! You do not create evidence that will go against you!

That is a dumbfounding element, isn't it? It may illustrate the fact that they felt completely safe from being held accountable by higher ups, who appeared to have given them license to do it.

Yes, they did, apparently. But not too many higher-ups have been held accountable for there actions.

Stupid, perverted, dishonest, ignorant and, above all, arrogant. A direct and sad reflection of our current administration.

I am sure that the Bush administration can protect the contractors in a similar fashion to that which was used to protect the telephone operators from any kind of retribution from such abuses.

Torture,humiliation,depravity.This is criminal...period!
Anyone at any level who participated,or knowingly allowed these things to go on,should be held accountable.
