darkeforce says: It isn't bad enough that the network is nothing but a propaganda machine for the right wing, spreading misinformation and pretending it's news, now they've outright insulted Canadian soldiers; the soldiers that have been carrying their supposedly "righteous" war in Afghanistan, while the US went to screw around in Iraq for years. They stated that Canadian soldiers were already "taking it easy" at a time when the latest 4 soldiers killed in Afghanistan were just coming home. And unlike the Americans, we don't hide our war casualties from the public. Time cancel subscriptions to FoxNews, and contact advertisers to encourage them to stop doing business with this damnable, irresponsible, biased company. He definitely wasn't funny and his apology might have meant something if he hadn't lied. I watch Fox exclusively and I've never seen or heard of "Red Eye" before. Of course, I watch the news during regular working hours. I don't believe that you can lay stupidity solely at the feet of Fox News...there's enough to go around to all the networks. Boycott it?? Heck no. It keeps me sane. Best I say nothing here....nothing at all..... Except that I thank my cable company for switching from Faux News to BBC World News Service. My neurons appreciate it. FoxNews keeps you sane? You have delusions that need to be fed by lies and misinformation? The Fox Network itself has both good and bad divisions, but FoxNews is squarely in the "bad" category. Rupert Murdoch has openly admitted that he uses FoxNews to push his own political agenda; an agenda that is hideously right-wing and anti-humanitarian. If a network has to keep telling you that they're "fair and balanced", then you should be asking questions. If they were really fair and balanced, they wouldn't have to keep repeating that mantra over and over; it would be obvious. i watch clipmarks for my news! Attack the messenger, a trick of the far left. This is Democratic parties operating system. Attack Rush, attack Bill, attack Fox and anyone else who questions the acts of the administration. A trick of the "far left"? Really? It is not that they question the administration, is that they serve as the far-right noise machine repeating lies and falsehoods. Who is served by such idiotic ramblings anyway? No, Jerry. Rush, Bill and Fox attacked first. What the left is doing is merely self-defence; that is, correcting the misinformation those propaganda machines are churning out, and calling "Bullshit!" when the lies and nonsense get especially thick. Tell me, which is more likely? FoxNews is honest truth, and every other news network lies, or FoxNews lies, and every other network tells the honest truth. Unless you a a hopeless right-wing nutjob, then the latter is clearly the case we're looking at. News Flash: Rupert Murdoch has admitted, before the media, that he uses FoxNews to advance his own political agenda. What more proof do you need than the owner of the company admitting that FoxNews is nothing but a political tool? Worse still, Rupert Murdoch is a foreigner. He's from Australia; and yet, he's openly manipulating the American people for his own agenda. Why doesn't that outrage anyone? So i suppose MSNBC isn't a platform for Microsoft and GE's agenda? And CNN isn't a platform for Ted Turner's agenda? And TV in general doesn't support the platform of all their advertisers? What truth are you going to get? MSNBC is a platform for Microsoft's and GE's business agenda. CNN is a platform for Ted Turner's business agenda. FoxNews is a platform for Rupert Murdoch's POLITICAL agenda. It is not a good business model whatsoever, because its goals are political, not business. That is why NewsCorporation is only a mediocre-performing stock at best. So they're business inclined vs. political. OK. Sure. “The CIA owns everyone of any significance in the major media.”Tom Braden dies. Former CIA operative, Columnist, and CNN's Crossfire Co-host Operation Mockingbird: CIA Media Manipulation Mockingbird was an immense financial undertaking with funds flowing from the CIA largely through the Congress for Cultural Freedom (CCF) founded by Tom Braden with Pat Buchanon of CNN’s Crossfire. Here's another good one: "If the people are not convinced (that the Free World is in mortal danger) it would be impossible for Congress to vote the vast sums now being spent to avert danger. With the support of public opinion, as marshalled by the press, we are off to a good start. It is our Job - yours and mine -- to keep our people convinced that the only way to keep disaster away from our shores is to build up America's might." -- Charles Wilson, Chairman of the Board of General Electric and Truman appointee to head the Office of Defence Mobilization, in a speech to the Newspaper Publishers Association, 1950 |
