I run into people all the time who tell me "I'm a Christian and I'm for stem cell research" or "I'm a Christian and believe in Evolution" or "I'm a Christian and I don't have a problem with homosexuals".
Then speak up! Stand up to the Robertsons and Dobsons and let them know it is wrong.

And it is wrong Laceym! Unfortunately the Christian right is one of the most visible and vocal forms of Christianity in America today. It is the most politically involved and receives the most media attention. It supports the Amercian imperial policy and the use of armed force to enforce that policy. Given the long tradition of Christian teaching about war, why were the streets of America not thronged with million of Christians teaching about the conditions of which we may go to war before the Iraq War? What do you think of Alonso's idea of First Order Christians and Second Order Christians? I bet most would classify themselves as First Order.
How about the article he refers to about the president of Answers in Genesis saying atheists are coming for your children?
