Ooooh! I love stuff like this. .

From a Danish source, this can be added:

Before the event, glowing balls were seen in the sky around 1:15 AM and animals had acted strangely. Dogs, cows and frogs all became silent in a 20-30 km radius of the site. Problems starting cars, using cellphones and digital cameras were also reported. Helicopters were filming and combing the area.

A few days prior, eight crop circles had appeared near the Dinskij district. An area near the the town of Armanvir was reportedly "glowing". Crop circles have also appeared recently in, among other places, USA, Canada, Spain, Germany and Denmark and reseachers say, they are all connected to each other via parallel lines.

Exciting, eh? .

I rather doubt we have greens or greys invading Russia. When you hear " human intervention was ruled out. " it doesn't mean that humans couldn't have done it, it means the imaginative self deluded don't want to believe humans have done it.

Everything described sounds exactly like what other crop circle makers have done in the past, and even documented and revealed on you-tube.

As for the animal stuff - again, people attribute things that aren't really there or happening when they try and create something more than it is. It's why so many believe that a full moon night increases crime and hospital cases even when we have volumes of documentation pointing out that a full moon night is no different than another.

In the west, we're fascinated by crop circles, but the Russians don't like crop circles much. The farmers fear losing money for their crops, because they think the corn might be contaminated or radioactive, so they hurry up and plow over the formations to "hide the evidence". (So says the Danish article) There may have been a lot more formations, than we ever hear of. I find crop circles simply fascinating. Mysterious and beautiful. If nothing else, they are fantastic works of art. Anyway, whoever made them, I think they're just plain cool. .

Personally, I think (hope) aliens made them. That would make them even cooler!

That I can agree with. The techniques and the styles are often quite intricate. I'm sure most farmers look upon them as no better than graffiti, but they do look cool.

A 20-cm-deep cylindrical hole with polished walls was found right in the centre of the large circle.
The aliens sampled the soil to define its chemical composition.

Or an axle was pushed into the ground to act as a pivot for making the sweeping circles and as it turned the force of it compressed the dirt walls and polished them smooth.
