The images are not clear and are difficult to read at times. Is there anything I can do to correct this?</p> <P align="right">Tom Mendham</P></B> <P nd="1">There's probably little you can do to improve the image quality. Several things are at work here. The resolution you're feeding out of the S-Video port is, at best, 800-by-600. That means the HDTV has to scale the image up, and that may degrade the image quality. The video-encoder <A class="iAs" href="%23" target="_blank" itxtdid="2471558">chip</A> in many laptops usually does a relatively poor job of encoding video.</p> <P> </P><P nd="2">Many HDTVs have VGA or DVI inputs, which can take a <A class="iAs" href="%23" target="_blank" itxtdid="2592432">PC</A> signal directly. But if yours doesn't, a better solution would be to get a VGA-to-component-video dongle, such as the Audio Authority Model 9A60 (<A target="_new" href="http://www.pcmag.com/article2/htp://www.audioauthority.com">www.audioauthority.com</A>). That way, you can get much better image quality. </p> </SPAN> </DIV> </TD></tr></table></blockquote><div style="height: 2px; font-size: 2px; background: #dcdcdc; border-bottom: solid 1px #f5f5f5; margin: 2px 4px;"></div><blockquote style="text-align: left; padding: 0px 8px; margin: 4px 0px 8px 0px; background: transparent; border: none;" cite="http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,2040915,00.asp"><table background="undefined" bgcolor=""><tr><TD align="center" colspan="2"><TABLE cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><FORM name="article_icons" method="post" action="http://www.pcmag.com/print_article2/0%2C1217%2Ca=192433%2C00.asp"></FORM> <TBODY><TR><TD align="left"><INPUT type="hidden" value="true" name="hidPrint" /><INPUT type="image" border="0" align="absmiddle" alt="Print" src="http://www.pcmag.com/images/pcm_print_icon.gif" /></TD><TD><IMG width="8" height="1" src="http://www.pcmag.com/images/pcm_spacer.gif" /></TD><TD align="left"><A class="link6" href="javascript:alert('This link contains javascript.
