I know the “s” word gets thrown around a lot in politics, but it seems pretty clear to me that environmentalism is all about indoctrinating kids into socialist thinking. In the past socialism hasn’t got in in free western societies because, well, the fruits of freedom and free market capitalism are just too tasty for anyone to want socialism. But with environmentalism as a vehicle for socialism, suddenly it becomes a lot more appealing. Suddenly it’s not about dragging everyone down to the lowest common denominator. It’s not about subjugating the individual for the good of the collective. Suddenly, it’s about saving the planet lest we die in an ice-cap-melting armageddon!

This an effective tactic, and it’s exactly why the government shouldn’t have a monopoly on education any more.

A Cautionary Video About America’s ‘Stuff’

The thick-lined drawings of the Earth, a factory and a house, meant to convey the cycle of human consumption, are straightforward and child-friendly. So are the pictures of dark puffs of factory smoke and an outlined skull and crossbones, representing polluting chemicals floating in the air.
