I like Jatfla and it's not important to me that we are on opposite sides of the coin. It's America and everyone is entitled to their belief system. But the comment kind of bothered me especially this part:

First of all, I want to say that I thought this was an interesting clip and had a lot to say about bigotry and ignorance.

Then today we have a clip by skwirlinator who I think is a good clipper and I also happen to like.

What is this all about? Forgive me if I have read too much into your clip BNM, but this all seems related and I, for one, just do not get it.

What is our responsibility to each other at Clipmarks? From what I've read in comments, moderation isn't welcomed by the majority of Clippers and certainly not moderation by peers. How are the rules of social conduct even developed in online groups?

Can the rules be changed? In my experience, Clippers that are dissatisfied usually stop visiting the site, rather than try to instigate change. Are these our only choices: love it or leave it?

To be clear, these questions are not directed at you, Debby, just the questions that came to mind when I read the source article. It is part of my interest in how people interact online, usually anonymously.

I logged on this morning to retrieve one of my clips, decided to look around and fortuitously happened upon this one. I am one of those who have simply given up.

Now, when I find something of interest I sent the link to a friend or two. It's not quite the same as posting it on Clipmarks, but at least I get to share it with someone. That's what I most enjoyed about Clipmarks when I first joined. I felt like a mother bird flitting around the net finding fat juicy tidbits for the chicks back home in the nest. Unfortunately this bird took one to many pellets from poachers. But Clipmarks filled a vital need at the time.
