As a woman, I would venture to say that a woman who is not ovulating is more prone to picking a mate who is gentle, nurturing and an all around good guy. When she is ovulating, she's more prone to pick the bad guy, 'cause then she won't feel guilty when she bites his head off.

Or maybe it's a preying mantis that I'm thinking about. LOL
