We should just put these guys in a room with the men and women who survived this attack for 5 mins, no questions asked. That would put an end to this insanity. Way to go Obama...

Nothing has changed. Charges can be brought again later.

But an important question must be resolved: did the Bush administration so profoundly break the law in its handling of these detainees that the USA cannot legally detain or prosecute them?

We are, thank God, a people who believe in the rule of law. Insisting that law applies to the government as well as to the accused is our only method of keeping tyranny and fascism in check.
