The wind farm is, and was, opposed by the Kennedy's long before Romney came along. It has been negotiated out of many conservative pro business and alternative energy initiatives. I really don't know how much Romney is to blame but he certainly is not the major obstacle. As I've said before ("probably too many") where ever there is an option/idea for an alternative for energy dependence there rises up a resister. I'm sick of them. Me too, Jatfla. Too many people do not understand the economic pressure surrounding alternative energy. Before we can create, develop,or distribute other sources of energy we MUST quit importing most of our oil and produce it domestically. Only then can we move forward with alternative energy. For example: Let us say a new energy source is developed or we invest in current technology and produce a viable alternative. If that happens OPEC will compete by crashing oil prices ( as they have done before when threatened by competition ). This will serve to put down any threat to oils dominance. The problem at this time is not energy, it is price. The entire situation is made worse by the insanel... |
