This is a great idea! Lately my granddaughter, Cupcake is just about keeping me broke with her little pearly whites. The Tooth Fairy leaves her a twoonie. (A Canadian coin worth $2). The good news, Tanya, is that she has a limited amount of teeth. I think it would be fun, as a kid, to wake up and see exactly how the Tooth Fairy "fancied up" the water. I can see putting all sorts of neat things in there, like glitter, gems, pearls, etc. I think my daughter would appreciate the water turning pink. Wish I had known about this when my children were small and also when my grandson was losing his teeth. What a fantastic idea for children! It was the tooth mouse who collected our teeth (which we placed in a slipper next to our bed, accompanied by a biscuit and a glass of milk for the hard working rodent). When my mother died I discovered all my sister's and my teeth hidden under a velvet cushion in her jewellery box. What a sweet story! I kept my childrens teeth too! My father still has all of my teeth in a little velvet box. I thought it was creepy. LOL. My last three primary teeth to come out ended up embedded in a clear acrylic disk (my father's company had a machine for doing that), which has long since been lost. I wonder what I can make out of my girl's teeth. Hmm... Easier to have two identical jars and just swap them out. |
