debbyski says:
"The legacy of Geraldine Ferraro was supposed to be that no one would ever go on a blind date with history again. But that crazy maverick and gambler McCain does it, and conservatives and evangelicals rally around him in admiration of his refreshingly cynical choice of Sarah, an evangelical Protestant and anti-abortion crusader who became a hero when she decided to have her baby, who has Down syndrome, and when she urged schools to debate creationism as well as that stuffy old evolution thing."

"Readers of National Review Online -- a reliable bellwether of conservative sentiment -- flooded the site with e-mails throughout the long weekend. The messages ran roughly 20-1 in almost orgiastic excitement about the pick. On Friday, one reader expressed Christmas-morning delight over the gift of Palin, proclaiming that McCain had just "given us our Red Ryder BB gun."

Ahhh, yes judging from your photo, Ms. Debbyski, you would be threatened by an attractive, intelligent woman.

The equalizer sounds just like my dad, such a sad excuse for a human being. It wouldn't matter what reason you gave for not liking something about a person be it their opinions, the way they act anything at all, you would just be jealous.

By the way Debby, I just noticed your new picture, I think you look very pretty.

I have yet to hear anything said by Palin herself that proves or disproves her intelligence. This is not to say that she's stupid, but she's a complete unknown. The rest of the Repub convention this week should bring things out.

Really, The Equalizer? Is this how you are going to make your point - petty name calling and insults? I mean, it's kind of pathetic and sad. At least come up with some interesting adjectives (try a Thesaurus, you can buy one at Wal-Mart, I'm sure you know what that is) or at least a witty, tongue-in-cheek remark. Maybe even a funny picture - you know, the kind in the books you read.

Sorry, but sometimes you have to go down to other people's levels (WAYYY down) to have some fun.

Trolldom, when one has such low self esteem, they have to pick on women and children, sounds like Rush without someone else Viagra; debbyski. you are a beautiful person inside and out, you do however look better without the dress

Excuse me for crashing the party, but, just as Bush said about Vladimir Putin, I know her heart. As long as I know Sarah has a good Christian heart, I don't need to know about a person's non-existent experience in office or rather thin educational background. (Apparently they didn't teach what the Vice President does while she was studying Journalism at the University of Idaho...)

And the easiest way to find out if they have a good Christian heart is for them to be smoking hot!

Call me old-fashioned, but I agree with the Homeric Greeks: A person's physical appearance reflects the condition of their soul, and the favor of the Gods. Thus crippled people are clearly the most base form of evil...

By the way, Debby, you should "take screen shots" of that comment and send them to Nappster's congressman - I wonder how disgusted he'll be?

But on a more serious note:

1. So we all agree, Sarah Palin is hot, but the Republicans keeps saying us "swim-wear-impaired" and "cosmetically-disabled" liberals feel threatened by someone who is "an attractive, intelligent woman."

This begs the obvious question: where did anyone get the idea Sarah Palin was "intelligent" enough to make us feel threatened? Was it because of her Nobel Prize in Chemistry? Or her Magna Cum Laude degree from Harvard? Or her fluent command of eight languages? Did she win the Fields Medal and I just didn't notice it?

Not ...

Summary:

If you accused us of unfairly treating Mrs. Palin like a meat puppet, then you would be correct.

But you accused us of being "threatened" by her combination of hotness and smartness. That is pretty damn stupid.

Not that it's much smarter than the rabid ad hominem attacks Republicans keep making on narrowly parsed elements of Obama's personal circle of friends. I still haven't found anyone to talk with me about the issues!

If this demonstrates the depth of Republican political understanding these days, we should all be looking forward to 8 years of President Obama.

Equalizer, beat it. ClipMarks policy - which you agreed to - expressly forbids that kind of comment; you are out of bounds. If you must make such, you are not welcome here, as far as I'm concerned.

They say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", so I just have to speak my mind and say that debbyski is one of the most, if not THE most, beautiful people I have ever met on this earth, both inside and out...

Well, let's see. Where to begin? First of all the only qualifications this bimbo has in the eyes of the GOP are:
1) She has a vagina, which "gender card" they hope will offset Obama's "racial card"
2) Their hope that her youth will balance out McCain's decrepitude
3) She is a classic right wing "Stepford Wife".

As for her looks and intelligence, not only would I much rather spend an evening fucking the lovely and luscious cornfed Deb and enjoying an articulate and thoughtful exchange of ideas, I'd also be much more secure in seeing Deb on the ballot than Ms fluffbunny GOP hypocrite. (Here at clipmarks at least, we KNOW that Deb's intelligence can't be called into question).

You know, one thing that also shocked me: that the Christian Right makes a big deal that, given her pro-life stance, she didn't abort her down-syndrome baby.

Now, admittedly, I don't have kids, so I don't know what that decision must be like, but I strikes me as really lowering the bar.

Although I am pro choice, I would consider myself "anti-abortion." (As stated before, my personal choice is that I will never have an abortion ) And the thought of being so shallow as to abort a fetus simply because it isn't perfect enough strikes me as really shockingly diabolical. I don't know anyone who would support elective abortions to expunge those deemed genetically inferior!

So why is it that t...

You sweet talker u!!!

@Dallen:
My photographer who was graced into my real life and opened up those windows to my soul . . . beauty is in the eye of the beholder

NOW, Palin is definitely this particular distraction for all the little boys in the gold old boy party:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVJmwYKy7eM

The party is sooooooo good at distractions aren't they? Distractions keep the mind at bay from topics like giving their corporate buddies every piece of public land and every government function that isn't bolted down, entrusting the environmental regulation to the polluters, the post-9/11 assa[b]...
