We're pleased to announce that after two safe, sub-aqua weeks he has now returned to the surface. He used a bike to generate electricity, and was able to grow algae to provide some of his food and oxygen.</P></blockquote><div style="height: 2px; font-size: 2px; background: #dcdcdc; border-bottom: solid 1px #f5f5f5; margin: 2px 4px;"></div><blockquote style="text-align: left; padding: 0px 8px; margin: 4px 0px 8px 0px; background: transparent; border: none;" cite="http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/04/man_resurfaces.php"><P>It's not yet clear exactly how well the experiment went, or how much food and oxygen had to be added to what was produced. <A href="http://www.biosub.com.au/">Godson</A> said, "we were constantly making improvements to things that were going on down there and trying to optimise my living conditions." By tweaking the conditions, and adding extra fans, the oxygen output of the algae was increased, which could lead to a longer experiment in the future, or one with more inhabitants. :: <A href="http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200704/s1900699.htm">ABC News</A></P></blockquote></div><div style="margin: 0px 6px 6px 4px;"><table style="font-size: 11px;border-spacing: 0px;padding: 0px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tr><td style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;"> </td><td align="right" style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;width:107px" width="107"><a href="http://clipmarks.com/share/49B81ABC-7854-40D8-B8D8-5BEEBE5CCAEE/blog/" title="blog or email this clip"><img src="http://content6.clipmarks.com/images/c2b-foot.png" border="0" alt="blog it" width="107" height="17" style="border-width:0px;padding:0px;margin:0px;" /></a></td></tr></table></div></div>
