Those sentiments will strengthen if it appears that there is a real partner for peace in Palestine and that the peace process is genuine. Land and Peace "The problem that we will face, and we experienced this in the disengagement from Gaza, is that the split of opinions in Israel on the issue of land and peace is very similar to the religious-secular split in the society. Chances are that if you are a religious Isra Sure, because the generation is passing that was ATTACKED BY EVERY ARAB NATION AROUND THEM! Was not the "settler zone" a buffer of land, originally to separate the attackers from Israel? The "settlers" DO seem to be assholes, to generalize, but isn't it mostly a reasonable progression of events? The next generation figures maybe its time to trust again. O.K. Fine. But.................. Watch out if Israel gets suckered back to original borders, wanting to "start over" in a way, and then Iran and Syria or their proxies attack again. Would would be reasonable? And we get back to the current issue. Iran SHOULD NOT be in possession of nuclear weapons. Why should Israel trust them? Especially ... 72% of Israelis believe use of their nuclear weapons is justifiable. Some one has being doing their maths. Ha ha Look, in the very unlikely event of Iran having home grown nuclear weapons. So what? Remember Mutually Assured Destruction between the USA and USSR. Too young? Well, it worked then so why not now. And who has Iran invaded? Look there are loads more questions that I have that you will not answer but I'd prefer if you would ask yourself the questions. Do you accept that the Iraq invasion was based on lies? If not, then don't bother your brain by proceeding further. But, if you were fed lies then, why should you now choose to accept more crap? Logic dictates th... With what davboz are these nations going to attack Israel, when the IDF has and continues to seek not merely strategic parity with its neighbors, but superiority and reserves the right to attack them at any time. The myth of the defenseless Israel died in '82 if not sooner. A jew by tradition or a jew by conviction is not the same thing. So Jah could raise descendants of Abraham out of those stones. So it's a mental thing. Israel lives in constant conflicts, inside and outside, that in the heat of the moment some redheads could shoot too far. Israel must seek for peaceful cooperation in civil terms and strike back terrorists killing by hazard. So I can understand why Isral bytes from time to time. But they should remain in comtrol of their emotions for not overreactingly punishing many for few. Maybe Israel and Palestina should create peaceful disarmed zones where a live side by side can be trained and ameliorated. |
