This sort of thing happens ALL THE TME in our nation's hospitals! Families suffering traumas to their loved one are SO vulnerable, and are talked into making decisions they really do NOT understand!

Take time to thoroughly research the facts on this issue - one never knows when they might be faced with a like situation.

In addition, be WARY of 'palliative care' for a loved one at end stages of life - what YOU mean by palliative and what THEY mean by it are two very different things. They will softly say that 'most families withhold everything except pain medications, but no further treatment for their disease or condtition from the person which permits them to die naturally.' My best friend and I were with her at her death, prayed the Rosary, to which my dying sister was faithful all her life, and whispering into her ear the Act of Contrition, the Act of Love in which one forgives 'from my heart all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured,' just as Christ says we must if we are to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
