bignosemousie says: Lots of information at the source. Photos that will break your heart. Unchain your dog, please. .....that's animal cruelty and animal neglect. People with pets (especially dogs) should be offered informational instruction, which I believe is available at the Animal Shelter. Dogs need big backyards to run and play, and they need to be walked. Barbaric! Thanks for the comments. If only one person sees this and unchains his/her dog, then that is one less tragedy in the world. One less is a start. In South Carolina US they were talking about making it illegal to do this. And dogs that were tethered to "runs" which amount to nothing more than a close-line and a leash, can only be tied up like that for a certain period of time, then it too becomes illegal. I'm not sure if they ever passed that law yet or not. Will do some research and find out. Mousie, you are right. Barbaric, cruel, pitiful and sad. Why do people do this? Why get dog to begin with if you are just going to torture it? @handleriii, I am sure the reasons are varied. Sometimes though, I think people just don't know any better. There is no law to prevent someone from being a jerk, but for the uniformed, the law might be the wake up call they need to show them that this practice is actual cruelty. I really hope SC passed the law. |
