The latest complaints came a day after executive director of the NFL Players Association, DeMaurice Smith, urged players to speak out against Limbaugh's bid.
"I have asked our players to embrace their roles not only in the game of football but also as players and partners in the business of the NFL," Smith said in a statement Sunday. "They risk everything to play this game, they understand that risk and they live with that risk and its consequences for the rest of their life.
"We also know that there is an ugly part of history and we will not risk going backwards, giving up giving in or lying down to it.

I don't know where the NFL Players' Union, Sharpton or Jackson get the right to vet the political opinions of team owners, but the union's executive director apparently thinks that's part of his job.

Yes, this is how we "overcome division" all right: we try to limit other people's business opportunities, depending on whether we agree with their politics. They obviously have studied in the Barack Obama School of Non-Partisanship.

An ugly part of this country's modern history is the persistent effort by liberals to delegitimize conservatives and import political disagreement into every sphere of life. Conservatives shouldn't go backwards. They shouldn't give up, give in or take the liberal...

Any time I hear about that pompous ass, Al Sharpton, I cringe to think about what he is meddling with this time!

Jackson, is less than useful now a day, so anyone wants to interfere with NFL football, had better know the fan base. I bet the fan base is anti-political at best and could care about the Sharpton/ Jackson team the least.

Sharpton had better start working on his "save Rangel" speech.

I wonder what Sharpton would say if it was he who was buying the Rams and Rush was opposed to him doing so? I would bet we would hear R A C I S M again. They are beginning to wear out that card.

unless the discrimination and insults are directed at you it's okay . Apathetic much?

How about treating others as you would like to be treated?

On accepting racism...
Rush asks "serious question": "If homosexuality being inborn is what makes it acceptable, why does racism being inborn not make racism acceptable?"

On separating people by race...
Rush: "We need segregated buses [...] This is Obama's America"

I wonder if he would push toward segregated football?
