I did a clip on the novel "The Notebook" once and pointed out the fact that novel ending was changed in the movie from two people who had shared a beautiful life together making love in a nursing home to having the main character die! Apparently Hollywood thought it would be better to kill off the wife than to show a married older couple making love!
So why do we have these stereotypes of "perverts", "dirty old men" or asexual women? Is it because it's a taboo subject just like homosexuality? The truth of the matter is that older people don't give up their sexuality by virtue of their age and why should they? Because our culture values shallowness? HA! Now, there is a part of me who can understand why to so many people, watching old bodies rolling in the hay, and trying not to confuse the wrinkles with the actual entry points, is less enjoyable than viewing young, nubile, tight bodies doing the similar nasty. Let's face it, young = pretty. There are plenty of good looking older people (you should know that, right kiddo) but...

I've always thought it was a shame that people never took the time to get to know her because women were most likely intimidated by her beauty and men were too busy admiring the outside to get to know the inner beauty or care about her opinions.
