mona says: ......i can't believe "paris hilton" is actually one of the pre-set tags on clipmarks. Good for Mika! It's about time somebody in the media showed some cajones! Fair play to this woman! I admit that the fascination with Hilton intrigues me from a, pardon me, sociological viewpoint; but her daily goings-on are clearly unimportant. What means the "Paris Hilton"? A girl's name, a girl who has lack of knowledge about the life and the society, a person who be of value to advertise "the fair rule of law", an entrance be used for vent a variety of discontent, or the words are benefit to the focus for the business? MrWeather, i think i agree with you - and i personally would hate to be in Paris Hilton's shoes, as her name and 'story' is clearly being used in a variety of businesses for their own benefit. However, she does seem to be quite comfortable with the attention she is getting. What bothers me is the fact that this girl (or rather: her image as portrayed by the media) has managed to take global news by storm - blowing completely out of proportion, when clearly there are seemingly countless issues that have been neglected or overshadowed as a result. Which is why my respect goes out to Mika Brzezinski for speaking out what many of us have thought for a long time: It's time to move on. m-o--n-a, yes,I'm agree with you. |
