I agree. I wrote this on the back of my credit cards, but it is only the rare sales clerk who even looks at the back of the card. Do a little study of your own by keeping track of the number of times someone asks you for identification when you write a check or use your credit card.

One of the most common ways to guard yourself against credit card misuse is to sign the back of your card, so that merchants can check the signature on your card with that on your ID. Right?
