The Met. boys and girls in Australia have been forecasting this for over a month. It ties in with the end of el nino.
Tis nice that people are willing to have more faith in untrained 15 yr olds that scientists who have spent a lifetime on a subject.

Uh... People how about maybe she is just freakin SMART, and the rest of us are not. Maybe, how bout giving her the benefit of the doubt and giving her some credit, where credit is due.

I'm sorry, but a 15 -year old has not even been alive long enough to get a complete education in even the basics of weather-predicting, unless she has a photographic memory and has spent the majority of the past 4 or 5 years doing nothing but reading books on it.

Alternatively, she could have just had parents that read nothing but books about weather forecasting to her as a baby, but it seems unlikely. If I were a betting woman, I'd put money on a lucky guess, even an educated guess.
