It was hailed as the "trust" hormone, then the "mind-reading" hormone. Now it seems oxytocin may also help people with social phobia to interact.
I don't need a spray. I think there's probably some sort of naturally occurring *oxytocin* in beer. .

Again it seems that some of the very basic challenges of being a human being are being medicated away. Whether it's fear, insecurity, whatever, it just seems really odd that we are becoming like witch doctors who can turn you into whatever you want to be. Visits to the doctor in 5 years...

For me, sanity comes in tablet form anyway. (Some may indeed question whether the medication is actually working). However, to conquer my level of socio phobia I'm going need oxytocin by the truck load.
