That IS, of course, when you can sift news out from the dominant "E" Entertainment type theme, ~ at least it gives a side that acknowledges we are America. That damn sure pisses some people off, though. That's a surprise ... but hey, good for Fox. The part of the press release that ought to concern people comes near the end... The campaign coverage has been relatively issue oriented -- 188 stories dealt with policy issues, 191 with campaign strategy and tactics, 162 on the candidates' standings in the horse race, and 122 on their personal backgrounds.That doesn't sound like "relatively issue oriented" coverage to me. Just more proof that U.S. political culture in general is atrophied. Why aren't 90% of the stories about policy issues? Do Americans just not care? |
