Yes, I'm aware that he said that he would prefer to adopt a dog from a shelter, but he had concerns due to his daughter's allergies. The petition encourages him to go ahead and look for a suitable dog from a shelter. For him to do so would be a huge benefit to shelters and animal rescues everywhere.
