According to the distance light travels in a year, we are looking into the distant past, the 70's sounds about right.
It's always good to see that while the universe is so large, it is packed with beautiful examples of colour and structure such as this. We have only just opened our eyes

This is a wonderful photo from the hubble spitzer. the colors here are different from the one online but those colors are also a false composite. The colors that the guys at hubble get are not in this worlds color spectrum so they have assigned specific colors to the various wavelengths. LOVE ORION
