Well, I am not known for blindly trusting authorities and I have always been afraid of flying. I know some people say flying is safer than driving a car, but actually, it isn't. I just saw Shiavo on Discovery and according to her, it's all about how you fiddle the statistics. If you look at deaths per travelled mile, then yes, flying is safest. If, on the other hand you look at deaths per trip, well then you are more than ten times likely to be killed in an aeroplane crash, than in a car accident. There... now isn't that nice to know? ~
