How horrible for the pigs and the people who had to clean up the mess! He really should have left water for them--obviously for their health, but perhaps not so obviously for their greater contribution to the mess. Let me illustrate what I mean by relating a true story:

About a month before she had to leave the house she took what she wanted and moved out, leaving in the house six dogs with plenty of food and water but no access to the yard. Several years ago a guy I knew was getting a divorce from a cheating, vindictive wife. During the separation phase the court allowed her to live in their house and the guy moved out for a few months. About a month before she had to leave the house she took what she wanted and moved out, leaving in the house six dogs with plenty of food and water but no access to the yard. Four weeks of dog feces and urine ruined the carpets, floors, furniture and clothes (thoughtfully strewn on the floor). The poor dogs scratched the doors and walls and woodwork trying to get outside. During this time she also brought in dozens of bags of wet, smelly trash and dumped them throughout the house. When the guy was granted access to his house he found a nightmare. The dogs apparently survived; they had been removed the day before my friend took possession (she bragged to people about how she got back at her ex and of course they couldn't wait to tell him--you know how people are). What a piece of work she was!

Using animals in this way is inhumane. I hope that the guy pays for what he did to the pigs and to the house.
