Seems some of the wealthier countries could learn from India then?

Canada survived much better, despite our close association with the US, because our banks are regulated and dodgy, sneaky trading tricks are illegal here. Technically, the recession has ended here in Canada; who knows when the US is going to recover, because the rich can just keep exploiting those massive holes in market regulations until someone puts their foot down and regulates the markets like a sane person.
