It is undeniable that Sanger and her allies espoused some of the ugly attitudes that were prevalent in the early 20th century. (I don't know if that stuff about her being involved in the Negro Project is true--I would definitely want to research this before taking TownHall's word). However, Barber seems to be saying abortion should be opposed because Sanger was a racist. However, Sanger's main cause was birth control and contraception. Extending Barber's logic would mean that we should also oppose birth control and contraception because eugenicists promoted these things as well. Is this really a route that pro-lifers want to take?
