I don't think the world realizes how valuable this proof really is yet. A million bucks is just chump change.

This is an unbelievable story and a very important one. I heard on the radio that he ignored the prize by saying it is "superficial", what a guy.

I think he is correct in terms of it being superficial. While I like money and would happily take the million for him (ooops I have to stand in line behind clipette and coconutshell).

There are just so many amazing aspects of how this knowledge could be leverage in astronomy, molecular theory, medicine, and much more. I am by no means a mathematician, but look at all the stuff in the universe this models. That is why I think it is more then a million dollar idea.

Although I too sure could use one million dollars I admire this man on so many different levels. Perhaps he can be honored in some way that he would find meaningful. An endowment perhaps?
