jatfla says: This coincides with the preliminary reports that were coming out of Iraq & Syria when the invasion began. I *heard* them from independent sources. They even had aerial photos showing the lines of vehicles crossing the borders. I don't believe so many global intelligent sources were wrong at the time and I don't understand why the Administration has stonewalled investigations by our representatives and others. This person, and others who are convinced of the fact that WMDs were there, would have no reason to pursue something they *know* to be a lie; especially when the Administration has acquiesced and rolled over on the issue. How embarrassing...."Daddam's" for all to see. :~( lol You can edit your clip. Right there next to the pop button. Thanks; didn't see *that* button. Don't ya just hate it when an evil dicatators name is used as a moniker. ; ) Good. Now we can find them, destroy them, and get out. Right? Read the article again. It said that just prior to the invasion they were taken out by truck convoys into neighboring Syria and Iran. People may lie, but satellites don't. This is also old news. BTW. It might be "old news" to us, Napster; but apparently a lot of people haven't gotten the 'news'. Where are the satellite images? I would like to see them myself rather than accept it from an administration that has been proven to lie. I heard that some weapons were found too, only the reason it's been kept quiet was supposedly because they had "Made in the USA" stamps on them. (Or serial numbers or whatever they're called) According to rumours, they were supplied to Saddam during the war with Iran, but that wouldn't look too good on USA's resumé, if it was publicly known, that the very weapons they were searching for, were in fact provided to Saddam by themselves. Like I said...just rumours. Regardless of which country made what weapons, the point remains that some other countries wanted to get ahold of them. So of course the U.S. had a mission to secure them before that could happen, and did not. Now they are in the hands of others who can use them against others further still, or sell them on the black market for millions of dollars. That's a problem. Well I think a dose of skepticism is due. I have been searching the internet for the satellite images that "prove" WMD's were moved to Syria right before the start of the war. I can't find any (so far) and you would believe that if they exist that the Bush Administration would be desperately having them on display because this is the last hope they have of convincing anybody that WMD's were present during the lead up to the war. What I did find were articles that said the proof was in satellite images that showed trucks showing up to facilities but then the CIA had to back away from stating this was evidence because they have never found any decontamination trucks and they were never able... You make a good point. The images themselves would give added proof, but someone *must* have them. Here is an article that gives some taped accounts: http://www.baltimorereporter.com/?p=1993 "In a tape dating to April 1995, Saddam and several aides discuss the fact that U.N. inspectors had found traces of Iraq’s biological weapons program. On the tape, Hussein Kamel, Saddam’s son-in-law, is heard gloating about fooling the inspectors. “We did not reveal all that we have,” he says. “Not the type of weapons, not the volume of the materials we imported, not the volume of the production we told them about, not the volume of use. None of this was correct.” Interesting thread. I did NOT know about that taped interview with Husseins son. |
