What is OPML?

It's basically a way to import heaps of feeds into your RSS reader in one go (instead of manually doing it for each feed)

But an OPML doesn't have to contain feeds as it's items, it can contain just normal links or just text.
With this type of OPML file you would have to browse it in an OPML editor or manager (or even an OPML search engine) to view the file, when you view the file you will see an outline version of the file...read the blog post for more.
