As it turns out, Marjorie never had all the required hours of instruction and training to become a pilot. Basically, she bought her way into a license from a pilot that no one in the Houston area knew. It's the only place in the world where you both take off and land on a boat. Pretty nifty. I only told this grim tale because I want people to check out the pilots before they get into that gondola. Some tourists didn't do that recently in <A target="_blank" mce_href="http://www.globalpost.com/notebook/commerce/091014/killer-balloons-china" href="http://www.globalpost.com/notebook/commerce/091014/killer-balloons-china">China.</A> It turned out badly.
