Newfman says: I would love to say that I would make the same decision, but damn- that’s a lot zeros coming after that ‘5′. Big props and much respect to Jeffrey Lee. inspirational! Excellent clip. I am skeptical about the veracity of this article, but great story either way, so I popped it. Anyone else notice how pist off he looks...Because he realized to do a proper 'DOH!' he will have to knock his own head off. I’ve got a job; I can buy tucker; I can go fishing and hunting. That’s all that matters to me.”it's personal...the things that matters most to him...good... Jeffrey Lee, you're totally right! I would definately do the same thing myself. Areva is from satan, they tried to start mining in Finland as well but they were kicked out of business because of their past destroying environment in Africa and Europe. F**k uranium and all that. Uranium takes ~100 000 years to stop radiating and noone has yet discovered where it should be stored. There is more than 270 000tonnes of nuclear waste on earth already so we don't need no more of that. Two kilos of highly radioactive waste can cause 10kilotons explosion just by falling from two metres. (American scientist magazine) I would kill myself before giving anyone permission to pollute my fishing and hunting grounds with some radioactive waste!! the world needs more people like him. good news! seems MONEY is not the only meaning carrier in the world, there might be some other `coins` waiting 2b cashed ... I’m not interested in moneythe world needs this kind of thinking Big Respects to the brother 'JL'.. Money means nothing.. no matter how many zeros! As a visitor to the Ulura, i could not bring myself to walk all over possibly one of the oldest religious sites in the world. No matter how much i paid for the visit. Nature comes hand in hand with respect, and to try and buy mans natural way is a disrespect beyond words....F**k em 'JL'.. There monetary ways have disrepected our earth, our humanity, our nature and our love for life enough..Well Done Brother! A man worthy of respect. It's really nice to see someone who believes his duty to protect his lands is priceless. Sounds like the makings of one of those credit card commercials to me... it gives 'priceless' a whole new meaning. Well if he sticks to his guns I wonder how long it'll be before he has a fatal "accident", orchestrated naturally by some greedy profiteering organization, like Areva for example. If they need lessons just ask any multi national corporation in America or even the US government. But I'm sure the vast majority of corporations and governments elsewhere need no instruction on covert activities, it is after all what makes the world go round: unconsionable greed and any and all acts used to obtain more, especially a sum so grand as noted here. So if Mr. Lee suddenly dies, look to see who profits the most by his death and I think you have got your prime suspect. But I'm sure it'll only be to sa... I tend to agree with zflynn. For that kind of money, corporations will go to extreme lengths to get what they want. I hope I'm wrong! The American Indians sat on some pretty good resources back then. Somebody else have them now. And BTW uranium has a half life of much more than 100.000 years (4.5 billion years). Thats why it still exists, waiting to be exploited by man. humble man indeed. I wish alot more people were like him. good bloody on ya mate ,,,, i salute u,,, the dreamtime loves u ~~~~~~~~~~~~~^ You can salute him as much as you can but i look at that guy and i see a dead man... let's be honest 5 freakin billion dollars is A LOT of money... Well if anyone from Areva read this conversation they should think twice their next move We will, don't worry. But by then we'll have the tech to move to another habitable planet of which we'll suck dry just like Earth. I know I'll sound like the bad guy here, but I could buy new ancestral land, some one else's bones, a haircut, and a better looking photo of myself and still afford to date Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan, and when I was done with re-hab, I could still afford to be a philanthropist that lives in a house big enough to have it's own area code. I mean 10 points for ethics but -5,000,000,000 for good thinking. i don't know- your right of course more people like him in the world and we'de all live in grass huts worshiping dead guys that we never knew, but is that better than materialism? yeah, ultimately, I think so- Well even if he did suddenly just disappear it wouldn't do much for the company - legally its not even possible to open a new mine, nor export any more uranium - we already have a mine, and its not operating to potential capacity because of such laws. Now, being a man of science - I am pro nuclear - whilst I agree that a definitive method for disposal of nuclear waste needs to be conjured - such a thing will not happen until demand for it is at it's greatest and more minds are put towards it. Unfortunately most of the Australian public have no idea about anything when it comes to uranium or nuclear power or radiation for that matter... as it turns out most people everywhere don't - they ju... We certainly do need more like him. The world might be a better place if we did. I would worry about his welfare at this point. It's a very corrupt world and people are killed for a lot less. My prayers are with him. I agree it's no use to turn this society back into stone age but Uranium is just a thing we don't know enough to play with. Or mayby we know but we cannot store it anywhere. On the other hand mayby if noone used that material for weapons things were different but that is not the case. More you dig up Uranium more there will be nations manufacturing nuclear weapons I think....mayby that's the another way to get back into stone age. Great story. I love a man who can respect the land (nature) as much as himself. The more zeros they add the more suspicious I get! Angels protect this man. |
