The lawsuit that stops the cops from rousting people from sleeping on public property, if there is no shelter available at the time -- is called the Jones' Decision. The 9th Circuit Cort of appeals. found it cruel and unusual punishment to cite some one for sleeping if there is no legal shelter available.

Several other cities, Richmond and others stopped there nighttime sleeping bans because of this 9th court decision. "Progressive" Santa Cruz continues adding more and more laws aimed at the poor. Orlando passed an anti feeding ban, as did Las Vegas. Sad times when its illegal to feed another human being. Several are in jail for feeding in Orlando. Others continue the fight and fear arrest for feeding hungry fellow humans.
