The terrible truth is that the last umpteen wars that the US engaged in, had nothing at all to do with national security and everything with enriching war profiteers.

These companies have no conscience whatsoever. They would actually exercise pressure on politicians to get involved in more wars, so they can get the lucrative private contracts not to mention weapons sales amounting to billions of dollars - all at the taxpayer's expense.

Iraq is a shining example. Based on lies and disinformation from the start, it resulted in the death of more than 100 000 innocent Iraqis. The only ones gaining from it? War profiteers like Haliburton.

And brave men and women have to fight and die for those war profiteers.

Today, whether it is a student who holds
a sit-in to get the army recruiters off

Indeed. Excellent quote.

"It is not easy to stand up for what is right,
especially when everyone else is afraid
to leave the comfortable path of conformity."

The American Right is actually trying very hard to establish a Fascist society in America.

When warfare is conducted precisely 180 degrees contrary to the millennia-time-tested guidelines as set forth by Sun Tzu in "The Art of War" and, Carl von Clausewitz's "On War," failure is guaranteed.

We have gone past the Point of No Return.

For those who are interested, here are editions of the aforementioned books I recommend so you can see that, since our military leaders are instructed in these works, the dismantling of America must have been intentional because no one in their right mind would fight a war the way Iraq and Afghanistan have been prosecuted:

"Sunzi Speaks: The Art of War"(English-Chinese) by Tsai Chil Chung (Paperback - 2005)

"On War" by Carl von Clausewitz (Hardcover - Oct 18, 2007

There is also an allegorical message on the Iraq war in Matt Damon's new "Green Zone". (see trailer here)
