The amazing thing is that it may not be more than a few years away! Any additional help we can get from Washington will make a huge difference. I hope to see this be a central issue in the upcoming election.

Where is your evidence that "help" from Washington has helped any industry, at any time, in any way?

Have you ever wondered why appliances bought in 1970 lasted 15 to 20 years, and the ones bought in 2005 only last 5 to 10 years? Is it just me?

Which policies? I think the fact that no one does what Halliburton does helps Halliburton.

OK, we have established the fact that government helps absolutely nothing. Now, how do they hinder these types of developments? I could think of many ways, but I doubt those will dawn on you.

I mean, if you look on another clip, you will see that Al Gore did an expansive green overhaul on his home and still uses 232 times the average home-owner, then you have the most intellectually deficient clippers arguing whether Gore actually increased or decreased. What? That is the problem! Not government (at least in this case). Government would only seek to refine corporatist authority in the same way they do in creating ways ...

That's nothing. Over a 10-year period, I use 3,435 times what the average home-owner uses in a day.

Anyway, I can see the headlines 20 years from now, "electricity at 500$ per watt, government seeks to nationialize the uitility industry (even though it has nothing to do with the industry, but everything to do with market speculators).
