travislaborde says: So, something is slowing down your computer. You bring up the Task Manager and see that lsass.exe is taking up all your CPU time. What the heck is lsass.exe? It sounds scary, probably a virus or something right? Go to this site and you'll find out that it is: he local security and authentication server system. It handles authentication of users from the Windows logon screen (the "Winlogon process") and generates user access tokens and launches explorer.exe (or any other defined shell). This process cannot be ended as it is a crucial system service. If lsass.exe is running on your PC, your computer has huge potential to run faster! SpeedUpMyPC is designed specifically for optimizing lsass.exe! This is excellent. I wonder stuff like this all the time. Thanks! |
