knslyr says: I think this is a horrible idea. Call me traditional, but back when I was growing up kids running around, wired, acting crazy was called "being a kid." And trips to the emergency room with cuts and bruises was called "learning valuable life lessons," also known as "childhood," also known as "growing up." This is just plain NUTS! Kids need excercise and need to run around. If kids would get 3-4 hours of excercise a day then they could focus on their school work and also would not be obese. The human body is designed to be engaged in excercise of some sort, even if it is just walking. They are basically saying pump kids up on drugs so they are forced to sit and listen. Give them 2 hours of recess/excercise at the start of the day and then their lessons, lunch, a nap, excercise and then lessons. Parents are the issue not the children Bingo Welcome back to The Clip Knslyr My brother was a hyper-active child and the doctor wanted to put him on Ritalin. My mom refused and guess what? My brother grew out of it. Oh, and Knslyr, I recently learned that you are the person the Clipmunity owes thanks to for Miss Mousie. Well, at minimum, I thank you. Props to your Mom, Bunni. My sister did the same. Yeah, I'm proud of her for not giving in. Good to be back GD! And the Clipmunity is more than welcome for BNM, I knew she'd love it. I'm still working on a way to get work to PAY ME to spend my day on Clipmarks, but so far.... nothing |
