They say it was hit by lightning but it was supposed to be lightning proof. So what brought it down, A bomb? That's my theory.

They used to say the helicopters that ferried workers to and from north sea oil platforms were absolutely lightning proof (claimed they could take several strikes in one flight)...

until one of them was brought down by lightning. An aware and experienced pilot got the helo into the water safely that time.
