I thought primes were much more random, but I was only guessing. Makes them seem like they have a place, rather than just turning up when no smaller numbers are interested in them.

I had a math professor in college that was researching a specific set of primes--he wrote articles about his research--primes and composites, squares are very interesting. I had not seen the previous clip on this number spiral site back on August 20th by Kore7. As a retired junior high pre-algebra/algebra teacher I've always found number patterns interesting--- Nice clip!

I have another math trick I'd like to share.
Squaring any number ending in '5':

1) For example, let's use 75 since it's low and simple.
Squaring any number ending in 5 will give you an answer that ends in 25 every time. So we can write that down. So we know our answer ends in ____25.
2) Next, add the number '1' to one of the tens digits of our original number:75 (The ten's digit is the one two
decimal places over. In our case, it's the seven)). Don't change the other ten's digit. Leave it alone. So now we have one '7' and one '8' in our tens digits.
3) Now we take our two numbers and multiply them together.
7 X 8 = 56. That's the other half of your answer. So we have 56 from our 3rd st...
