Here's another way to make stitch markers. I am not sure which way is best. I am willing to bet every knitter has their favorite types for different reasons.

They are also being made with no hardware at all, just "softflex" type wire, in a loop, with the beads. I haven't been able to figure out where they are crimping it from the set I saw. I am betting the bottom bead is a "crimp cover".
