i always think it's funny that a pretty 'active/fit' person can hunt for the perfect parking spot-circling the lot a couple of times.. the idea of walking through 2-3 rows of cars seems parking 'too far'....if we were all smart, we'd park in the fartherst spot availbale to ensure that we'd get at best probably a 2 minute walk in. before my grandfather passed away he used to refuse to park in handicap spots even though he was very sick and had trouble walking. he always said that there was bound to be someone who needed the spot more than him, so he didn't want to take it. i always admired that. EG: I'm glad the laws toughened up on parking in handicap zones. That space your grandfather sacrificed to someone else use to be taken up by someone less worthy of it. (Meaning, someone capable of parking within a 2 min walk). |
