When I see advertising I try and switch off. Of course it's not always easy, but I refuse to buy something because it has an attractive advertisement. One advantage, is an observation of the way so many of the products claimed to have 'amazing properties,' are in fact worthless. It is concerning that people will 'rely' on a product for entertainment, which then becomes the victim of the short attention span, and upgrades, with more bells and whistles. In my opinion the advertising industry, is intrinsically dishonest, flourishing on half truths, and misrepresentation. Sometimes a valuable product is introduced, before it becomes the focus of industrial dilution, being loaded with so many custom 'bells and whistles,' that the prototype is lost. The only concern those in advertising have for the customer, is where they will spend their money.
