But just read what they do to the poor things as soon as they are born!!! One thing is a painless death and another is to cause them pain as soon as they are born AND not prevent what you are trying to prevent, when there are more modern and less painful techniques for doing it Footy ) Enjoy your lamb love!!

Maybe YOU and PETA should go find some facts before you run off at your mouth with bullshit and second hand lies. The propaganda your talking about has nothing to do with reality I for one dont mules but use a green elastic rubber band around tail that later drops off with out loss of blood it is humane.Other things being used are long lasting back line anti fly treatment,Lucitrap fly traps . regular stock monitoring.Drenching if you know what that is? Preventing scouring and dags.Crutching strategically."Better choices" programming registration endorses a pain relief product for docking tails.#### Telling lies about another countries primary industry is hateful and degrading to the spreader...

These photos and accusations come from an AUSTRALIAN website: http://www.thylazine.org/gallery/mules/

Plus this article stating that the treatment continues in Australia, though some are willing to change the practice but not all : Wool Aussies lead mulesing charge
19 June 2009

AUSTRALIA produces more unmulesed wool than any other country.

That's according to Australian Wool Innovation's production programs acting manager, Dr Paul Swan.

And Dr Swan believes growers could meet the December 2010 deadline for all wool to be produced unmulesed if they wanted to.

Dr Swan's message to Landmark's woolclasser forum in Bendigo in Victoria last week was more optimistic than that of his chairman...

AWEX quality programs manager Dr Kerry Hansford said the revised declaration form would show the "ceased mulesing and non-mulesed"' status as one, provided all sheep born on, or transferred to, a property in the previous 12 months were still unmulesed when shorn.

Dr Hansford said declarations for non-mulesed or "pain-relief" wool were recorded on buyer test certificates.

She said it wasn't enough for growers to say they were in the Better Choices program which involved pain-relief treatment Tri-Solfen.

"Better Choices is a quality assurance program and, as such, could not be transmitted on the test certificates," she said

This AUSTRALIAN text states that farmers continue practicing Mules...

Oh Brighty and your loony fringe in PETA, worry about your own backyard Australia is worlds best practice when it comes to sustainable primary industries. The national wool declaration requires all wool to be identified as coming from mulesed or unmulesed sheep mobs.It also indicates whether these mobs were treated with pain relief. You are a Better Choices producer if you mules with pain relief or have ceased mulesing on your property.Best possible welfare practices are encouraged some of the measures I,v mentioned, integrated management based on observation and available methods & genetic tools coming along to manage fly strike.Mind your own business or sea kittens, take your medicine, PETA n...

CALM DOWN Chedare, I do NOT belong to PETA because I agree with you that they are fanatics and I eat meat etc. but why the Hell I have to give you explanations God only knows. If you are doing things right then no problem, people will buy products made by using the correct production techniques, all I was trying to do was to make people aware of the fact that not all farmers are using the correct methods and to boycott those who do NOT use the correct methods not ALL Merino products. And PLEASE don't get personal again, I have never insulted you in my clip comments that I am aware of.

Fondly enough I have been thinking that I have in the past agreed with some of your clips.I felt it a bit bizarre that my livelihood can be attacked and my countries proud tradition of exporting the finest and best prepared wool in the world. The great pain and suffering of animals that slowly die of blood poisoning from being eaten alive by blowfly maggots had to be addressed. The currents efforts under way for best practice humain animal health improvements and my love of animals had to be defended, both native and introduced living in harmony in the natural environment grazing together is pleasing site. Lambs playing chasey together I wish I had a film clip of to post~The Better Choices pro...

I have NEVER offended your family or what you do on your farm!!! It seems to me that you are afraid that your income may be affected by PETA, all I can say is, that if you are following the correct practices then you have nothing to worry about so please do not convert me into a criminal when my clip was made with the best of intentions. If we worry about our livelihood depending on what people think of us only and not on our good work then no one would feel safe in the future!! I do my job to the best of my ability and it would appear that you do too, soooo....... End of problem no?
