I am, frankly, very surprised that I have never come across this term before, seeing the diversity of my book and web reading. It is an interesting concept and a fitting compliment to Jung's theory of the Universal Consciousness.

Funny you say this pencilsandpixels. I've been talking global brain this and that for years (my about me even says so). Then someone was in the office a couple of months back saying Clipmarks reminded him of the noosphere -- it was the first time I'd heard of it.
