masbury says: NBC analyst Chuck Todd Clinton may not be able to pass Obama in the delegate count, but she can still win the popular vote which she leads right now. Then come convention time it will be left to the super delegates to decide between the media darling who sucks handling tough questions at debates and couldn't win a majority of the most important states in his own party, or the lying ex-presidents wife that blew a big early lead. Either way, it sucks to be them. the media darlingThe media only cares about the horse race. The owners of the media care about who wins, and they have, largely, sided with Clinton. Who are you tellin' who it sucks to be, Too-soon. hahahahahahahaha, what a funny guy you are! Once again, voter are deceived and don't even know it...what a farce! n2, could be. An important thing is whether the supers will see the popular vote for what it is - a grossly inaccurate collection of apples and oranges representing the states where she did best, and omitting many of the states where he did best. It's not really a popular vote as we know it. Here's a pretty interesting story on it: Why primary "popular vote" number robs millions who voted. And a P.S. - I went searching for the popular vote numbers, and it turns out the NYT has the numbers as something like 15.1M to 15M. Hillary is only ahead if Michigan and Florida are counted (where no campaigns were held), if all the caucus states are not counted, and if states that allowed Republicans and Independents to vote (which gives them much higher numbers) are allowed to outweigh states whose rules allow only Dems. Since the process is only for the purpose of selecting delegates, no one's ever bothered to standardize the popular vote from one state to the next - it's not a number than anyone's ever used before, as far as I know. kmcolo, I think you're correct. Else why would this PA thing be a "big win" in all the papers? She gained six or 10 delegates - nowhere near what she needs from every state to catch him. The real story is simply that she is sunk unless she can do a whole lot better than she did. My reading from the RealClearPolitics website is that Clinton leads in the popular vote ONLY if you include Michigan, where Obama gets no votes because he was not on the ballot. |
