He has had a very "gnawing" pain right below his rib cage for about 4 weeks. They did a scope in the hospital to check for ulcers, but found nothing wrong. He has no appetite and pain killers as strong as morphine have no effect on the pain. None of the doctors can zero in on the problem. I was reading about Autonomic Nervous System Disorders, but I don't know if I'm on the right track or not. He's back in the hospital again, but still has no relief from the pain. He has lost 13 pounds in 3 weeks. He is a meat cutter (I wonder if maybe he cut his hand and got some type of infection from raw meat). The only thing that has helped him cope with the pain is Diladin and from what I understand, that's not even a pain killer.
