These things seem more like your opinions against religion. Not solid proof that they are wrong and should not be followed.

If you devote serious time to the practice of religion, it’s safe to say you practice toilet-bowl time management, flushing much of your precious life down the drain with little or nothing to show for it.
Talk about 'toilet-bowl time management" - isn't it amazing how much time the atheists on Clipmarks spend trying to debunk Christianity and attack Christians. The more an atheist attacks the more insecure I suspect them to be - having to shore up and bolster their own beliefs by launching mindless and futile verbal assaults. Pathetic really.

Michelle,
As I think you know I am an atheist. I comment on, pop and sometimes clip atheist clips. I don't do it to
launching mindless and futile verbal assaults
or
to shore up and bolster their own beliefs
I do it because I think reason is important. because many people are harmed through superstition and religious practice. I do not want to hurt or upset anyone with a spiritual life that is a little fragile - I'm sorry if I do, but doing what The Good Book says because it says it is dangerous.

Atheists have a point of view, and in the modern world it is a view worth considering.

Freedom of religion -- freedom to believe any way you want, is a nice thing. I'm glad it's one of the USA 'Bill of Rights,' and an established law for over hundreds of years.

This is one of the good things of our country and maybe other nations more stuck in religion and racial combat and strife will eventually come to the same conclusion.

John, I have no issue with anyone who articulates their disagreements without having to resort to low-level insults. This article is strewn with belittling comments and the paragraph headings are insulting to say the least.

But, be that as it may, I'm pointing out that if atheists think they can 'win friends and influence people' simply by insulting them they are sorely mistaken.

No, John, my faith is not fragile (bit of tit for tat there, hey?) I seldom comment on atheists' clips because I seldom read them, and the primary reason for that is that they are all so predictable in their gutter sniping. I have yet to read a rational critic of Christianity who does not rely heavily on i...

There was a time in my life I would have called myself an atheist, but didn't like the spiritual void I felt. I grew up Catholic, and while I got fed up at a very early age with its demands for mindless obedience to unbending authority, I actually enjoyed the rituals. Eventually, I joined a NeoPagan group and got back the ritual I enjoyed without dogma. Spiritually, however, I feel I have more in common with atheists than with Abrahamics.

Some Pagans can be annoyingly obtuse, but that's just an opinion I have because there are a number of things that are common to Paganism that I don't go along with, like Tarot and astrology, but most have a prety firm grip on reality and a surprising nu...

Even though the headlines are a bit rude, I think the article in itself shows a great sense of humor in giving arguments why not to let our fate be determined by faith but instead make up your own minds as we go along in life. At least, that's my opinion..

For chestnut, Christian = like me = right wing = republican = like good.

Not Christian = not like me = leftie = Democrat = pro=Obama = bad = scum of the earth.

Good point Jorjor.

Nov. 5th will show where the USA American people really stand on politics.

Considering the Republican's brand of negative campaigning, voter suppression, smear tactics, hyped-up false issues, etc. - don't expect they to be good losers.

I'm not into institutional religion nor the idea of a personal God but I wouldn't condemn outright all those who do; some are bad; some do good.

Finding what suits you is best. Believing in something you actual believe in -- or see as possible --would seem to be required.

Even is what you believe in is: Nothing, I supose.

I'm a Tao zen buddhist who believes in Species forces and evolution --- that works pretty well for me.
